Hi Danielle!!

This is Life, I am really enjoying myself!!!

I am bit like a rubber ball at the moment, doing both positions. Ambassador and the Fron Desk. I am getting along very well, and my trainings are all good. I will move tomorrow to a new cabin, a guest cabin actually, for the rest of the season, the room mate that I had is signing off tomorrow, he is a Brazilian guy, nice person. The team that I am with at the front desk are all a bunch a great people. We had a visit from Maria Matsson from the Miami head office, the GSM in Miami. She said that I might be transferred to the new Oasis when Vision leaves Europe to go to Brazil. We will see what happens.

As you can understand, all is good here.

Jim

thanks

André

Hello Jorge,

You were my hiring partner and helped me get on The Jewel back in December.

I just wanted to say hi and that I am really enjoying the ship life. Very interesting itinerary and we are getting ready for Europe next month which will be exciting.

Once again thanks for all your help. Hope you are doing well.

Take Care,

Brunno

Dear EVERYONE!

FINALLY I'm going to send you all a group email! I'm soooo sorry it's been soooo long guys! Very naughty I know.....

Well I'm missing u all mucho but .............FIRST.................

I wish everyone a HAPPY HAPPY XMAS anda FABULOUS NEW YEAR! even if it's belated. I hope everyone has a fantastic year ahead of them!

Well this is gonna be a quick one as I'm not really supposed to be using my work computer to write emails per such but never mind! Life on the ship is getting easier...for the few ppl I have spoken to...you know how hard it was :&

Now I have a bit more time to myself and we had a fantastic New Yrs Eve party on the Aft out in the balmy Caribbean waters in the open air. I'll put some pics on Face book when I actually have time......cant access it from my work compt.

So I don't know where to begin.....working on a ship is weird and very hard work....long hours sometimes 14 a day ....no blissful Sundays to relax its full on man!!! I shall have to put some pics of me in my whites and Stripes on face b as well, so fetching!hahahaha! The great thing is the travelling obviously...we're now in the Caribbean and I've got off at Barbados, Aruba, Curacao, Tortola, Grenada and I saw Pompeii, Rhodes, Istanbul and various places in Turkeyin Europebefore we made the 5 day crossing over. Had a few stormy days before the crossing where things come crashing down from shelves and drawers slam in and out.........interesting.....but it turns out I have quite good sea legs! Felt sorry for the ppl who didn't though..........

I'm off now for a walk/run round deck 12 to getsome fresh air...have been inside all day (at sea today) tomorrow we arrive at Curacao at 7 am so I have to be up for announcements at 6. 30am ug.....had trivia's in foreign langs with the guests today plus desk hrs at Guest relations plus fr and Ger translations of the daily programs so bit knackered.............

I hope everyone is well and had a fab holidays....pls do send me your news from time to time and stay in touch I really enjoy receiving ur mails and knowing what ur all up toit cheers me up on the hard days!

Ok gotta run,

All my love to everyone,

Ellie

Hello Jorge,

I am just surfing on internet after long time and I am so glad to find a your email...thank you...

Well, about the life on board I can tell you it is very different from the land but I am working hard and I am happy to make this important experience....the first week has been hard but now everything seems to be much easier....

It will be a pleasure to keep in touch with a such gentleman like you and I let you know the next experiences on board...Now in the morning or afternoon, in the windjammer, I am working as host or P.R. with our guests... in the evening I am an assistant waiter, but since my rating has been very good in the last weeks, very soon I could work as a waiter.....In Naples, we sing O SOLE MIO for our guests, and I am the only Italian singing in the dining room..I am trying to lead the group, but the guys need some more practice....:-)

Take care and please keep in touch...

a big hug...Francesco

Jorge,

Thanks for the kind thoughts at this time of the year. Just to think that 5 months ago, we were talking about me working on a cruise ship, and now it feels as though I have been here all of my life. I enjoy life on the Monarch of the Seas, though it was quite an adjustment.I was promoted to Head Broadcast Tech last month during my first contract, which is quite rare as I understand it. I wish we were still in California, but I am adjusting to Florida. My fiancé just spent the Christmas Holidays with me, and that softened the being away from my family a lot.

Thanks for all of your help, and Happy New Year to You and Yours.

George

Good Afternoon Judith,

I just wanted to let you know that I already arrived back home in Austria.

Thank you so much for this opportunity...the last 6 months has been one of the best experiences in my whole life!

I learned a lot....thank you so much!

I hope everything is fine.

Best regards from Austria,

Ioana

Dear Judith,

Hope you and your family are fine and wish you all a great 2009.

At the Freedom of The Seas everything is going very well. I have passed my 60 day probation, just another month to go ;-)
I love my job, I love the people I work with, I love some of the guests.... heheheh Well, I really like to be around people. The adjustment to the new life style was very easy for me. Of course I miss people back in Portugal, but is as not been very hard. My job description keeps changing. The GSM keeps getting me to do stuff for him, which I don't mind; I do like to know about everything.

The main reason I am writing you is to ask you if I can give your contacts to Sergio (Miranda?). He is the Portofino Senior Ass Maitre D'. He is Portuguese and needs to have is visa renewed whenhe goes to Portugal. It seems that he must get the LOE from a hiring partner.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Kisses

Jorge

Hey Judith!

We are on our way to Hawaii and what can I say....everything is totally WOW!

I love my job, the people are so nice and life on board is really good. ..I had time to get off the ship in Alaska, it was really nice but now we all are looking forward to get into the sun :) in Lahaina my colleagues and I will have a Luau BBQ at the beach and in Honolulu we will go sky-diving! Isn't that great?!

Thanks for the advice with the black dress for formal nights, we already ate in the Olympic restaurant, all dressed up-it was so nice.

So, how are you doing? How are your daughter and the kitten?

I send you sunny greetings and 1000 kisses,

Kathrin

It would be great to gain some more experience.

Hi Judith,

Well arrived safe and sound at Miami and then the ship. All is going well though of course a bit confusing at times but at least

I have managed to find my way around after some wrong cuts of course!! For this week I am staying in a guest cabin as a crew cabin was not available so am quite chuffed about that.

Have started the mandatory training as well as the on the job training which is going well. I actually have a long handover as the girl I am replacing as CRS is only leaving in September so am quite glad about that.

Thank you again for all your assistance and advice.

Hope you have a great day.

Regards

Sandra

Hello Judith!

This is just a note to thank for the opportunity you gave me to work and to get to know the cruise world.

It is an experience of a life time!

Hope everything is going well!

Best Regards,

Sofia

Hi judith,

With me everything is really fine, I like the ship, my job....its great...

The food is fantastic onboard, I am happy that i am on this ship, to learn the job, I think is better on a smaller ship. Anyway I like it, and I start to feel myself really good, everybody is really nice to me, I think I do very well......wewill see at the end of the contract, but I feel like I want to do it longer.....and do another job here, it's nice to learn, but of course with my experience, languages, I will try to get higher....sales manager or Training and development manager......we will see.....there is still a lot to learn, but I feel good.

How are you? New challenges?

Kristian
